New Twist On An Old Favorite - The Bus Roll

Happy to report I finally got around to testing out a
craft idea I've had for awhile now. Like many others
out there in the blogging universe and beyond, I'm a
fan of those vintage bus roll signs. I've been playing
around with making my own in various sizes and such.
I came up with the idea of a bookmark, both for a small
way to test my designs and well, I needed a bookmark.

And here are my first attempts...

I had to reverse the color scheme for now from the usual black
background because my printer was almost out of ink, but I'm
going to try the black on white again. Also need to try some other
paper options (I used a glossy paper here) and possibly check out
laminating. And also work on my brad placement as London was
a little off center ;-). But overall, I really liked how they came out.

Wishing everyone a great Monday!

PS. Any Lost fans out there still recovering from last nights
finale? I laughed, I cried (a lot), and I had more than a few I'm
so confused moments. But alas, we all must "move on".

  1. Okay, you have to explain the Cote d'Azur and Blacksburg, VA on that third bookmark!

Lost was interesting. I stopped watching in the second season (I think...when the black smoke started showing up). I liked the pre-show that helped me come up to speed, but I was sort of surprised that they seem to have wrapped it up the way everyone guessed it would back when I was watching it. Everyone back then assumed it was purgatory. I *think* that's what last night was about...but maybe I'm wrong.

  2. I was playing around with some of my favorite places. I went to school @ Virginia Tech, so I included Blacksburg. An odd combo for sure.

And I think you are quite right, it did come down to purgatory. Guess I was just looking for something more, or unexpected.

  3. Oh, I really love those! What a clever idea. You could totally sell those at craft fairs and bookstores, I bet!
